Your AUD deposit limit (how much you can receive into Bitaroo per 24 hours) increases as you complete additional verification. You can request a higher limit at any time.
Where: on the web platform go to Account → Receive; in the Bitaroo Express app, tap Receive. From there you can request to increase your limit, and you will be guided through the requirements for the next level.
The limit tiers
- Level 2 ($25,000 per 24 hours): provide your source of funds (for example salary, savings, investments or the sale of property), your occupation, and confirm whether you are a Politically Exposed Person.
- Level 3 ($50,000 per 24 hours): upload a recent bank statement (you may black out the figures, but your name and BSB/account number must be visible) and a short selfie video holding your driver licence, stating your full name, the date, and that you would like to increase your limit to $50,000.
- Level 4 ($250,000 per 24 hours): upload proof of address (a recent utility bill), confirm that two-factor authentication (2FA) is on and will stay on, and provide your mobile number so we can text you to confirm it.
Limits above Level 4 are considered on a case-by-case basis; please contact support.
Am I eligible for the next level?
To qualify for an increase, you generally need to have already transferred an amount that meets or exceeds your current limit. For example, if your current limit is $10,000, transferring $10,000 or more into your Bitaroo account qualifies you for a Level 2 increase. If you are not yet eligible, transfer more and then submit a new request.
What happens next
Once you submit your request, we will be in touch within 2 to 5 business days.
