If you hold more than one Bitaroo account, for example a personal account alongside an account for your SMSF, Trust or company, the Bitaroo app can keep them all on the one device and let you move between them without logging out each time.
Switching accounts in the app
- Tap the menu icon in the top left.
- Tap your name at the top of the menu to open your account list.
- Every account saved on that device is listed with its name, email address and account type. A tick shows the account you are currently in.
- Tap the account you want to move to.
If PIN Login is turned on for that account, you enter your PIN and go straight to it. If it is not, the login screen opens for that account so you can use Biometric Login or your password.
Adding an account to the list
Tap Add another account at the bottom of the account list and log in as you normally would. That account is then saved to the device and appears in your list from then on.
Making switching faster
PIN Login and Biometric Login are set separately for each account, under Menu > Settings > Security. Turning one of them on for each of your accounts means you can move between them in a couple of taps.
Further Questions:
Are my accounts kept separate?
Yes. Each account has its own verification, balances, deposit and withdrawal details, limits and reports. Nothing is shared between them. This includes AUD deposit details, so always use the details shown while you are in the account you intend to deposit into. An SMSF must also deposit from the SMSF's own bank account, not a personal one.
Does each account need its own email address?
Yes. Every Bitaroo account is registered to a unique email address, so your SMSF, Trust or company account will use a different email address from your personal account.
Can I switch accounts on the website?
The account switcher is a feature of the Bitaroo app. On the website, log out and then log back in with the other account's email address. If you tick Skip 2FA on this browser for 30 days when you log in, you will not be asked for a two-factor code every time you swap.
Does this mean I can hold two personal accounts?
No. Each individual may hold only one personal account. The account switcher is for holding your personal account alongside a separate SMSF, Trust or company account. See Can I have more than one individual account? for more detail.
