Your Bitaroo Wallet sends and receives bitcoin on-chain, directly on the Bitcoin network.
To receive bitcoin
- Open your Wallet and select Receive.
- The app shows a QR code and a bitcoin address.
- Share the address, or have the sender scan the code. When the bitcoin is sent, it will appear in your Wallet, first as pending, then confirmed.
A fresh address is shown for each receive. Older addresses remain yours and remain valid.
To send bitcoin
- Open your Wallet and select Send.
- Paste or scan the destination address.
- Enter the amount, or use Max to send everything available.
- Review the amount, the network fee, and the total, then confirm.
The network fee goes to Bitcoin miners, not to Bitaroo. It rises and falls with network traffic.
Things worth knowing
- Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed. Always check the destination address before confirming.
- A transaction shows as pending until the network confirms it. This usually takes minutes but can take longer when the network is busy.
- The Wallet is on-chain only. Lightning payments are available from your Account.
- You can also send to a silent payment address (one that starts with sp1). Paste it into the Send screen like any other address; your Wallet works out the real destination and sends on-chain as usual.
- Tap any transaction in your Wallet to see its details.
