The Point of Sale pin allows you to leave your tablet or phone in the hands of your employees, knowing they will only be able to access the Point of Sale and nothing else on the App.
If you are the only one using the app, then the Point of Sale pin is not very important to you and in any case, it can always be changed via 'Settings' → 'Point of Sale' → 'Set Point of Sale pin'
