The Point of Sale pin is a 4-digit code that lets your staff take payments on your tablet or phone without being able to see or use anything else in your Bitaroo account.
How staff log in
- On the app's log in screen, tap 'Point of Sale Log In'. The link appears once the Point of Sale has been set up, you have logged in to your account on that device, and 'Show on Home and Login' is on.
- Enter the 4-digit pin. The Point of Sale opens straight away.
A Point of Sale log in can only use the Point of Sale. If someone tries to open any other part of the app, they are logged out and returned to the Point of Sale log in screen.
If you are the only person using the app, you do not need the pin day to day. Open the Point of Sale from the side menu or the Home screen while logged in as yourself.
Changing the pin
The pin can be changed at any time via 'Settings' → 'Point of Sale' → 'Set Point of Sale Pin'. The same screen has the 'Show on Home and Login' and 'Show in Side Menu' toggles, which control where the Point of Sale shortcuts appear.
