Bitcoin is sent via nodes.
Hardcore Bitcoiners run their own nodes but many others are using public random nodes which can track you or even lie to you.
These public nodes may be run by blockchain surveillance companies, but they may also be run by honest, well intentioned people using the default software settings. These settings log your Bitcoin addresses, transactions, and IP address.
As a middle ground solution between running your own node or using a random public node, we offer our very own node which has custom settings enabled to not collect such sensitive information.
How to use our node
Electrum users:
1. Go to Network
2. Switch ‘server’ to ‘electrum.bitaroo.net:50002’
Other wallets:
Our node is available for any bitcoin wallet that needs it (aka SPV wallets) via node.bitaroo.net
Final word
Regardless if our node is being used by wallets or not, it still supports the Bitcoin network and that is its main purpose.
This publicly demonstrates that we are fulfilling our promise as set in our internal policy.
