What is a Company Extract?
A Company Extract is an official document that provides detailed information about a registered company.
It includes details such as the company's registered office, directors, shareholders, and other key corporate information which are needed for us to comply with the AML/CTF and KYC rules.
How Can I Obtain a Company Extract?
Option 1: Through the Accountant or SMSF Admin
- Reach out to your Accountant or SMSF Admin and request a Company Extract
Option 2: Through the ASIC Website
- Visit the ASIC Connect website;
- Select “Organisation and Business Names” from the top right dropdown menu;
- Search for the company you wish to obtain an extract for;
- Select the company and review the company summary
- Under the ‘Information for Purchase’ heading, select the desired company extract; and
add it to your cart to purchase it.
Should I Get the Current or Historical Extract?
A current extract includes up-to-date information, while a historical extract provides details about changes over time.
For our compliance purposes, a Current Company Extract is sufficient.
