If you have set up withdrawal restrictions on your account, a withdrawal can be refused by your own settings. Nothing is taken from your balance when this happens: the withdrawal is not created, no funds are held, and there is nothing waiting to be released. You can simply try again once the cause is resolved.
Below are the messages you may see and what each one means.
"Withdrawals are not allowed from this address"
The connection you are using is not on your approved list.
What to do. Withdraw from a connection you have already approved, or add this one under Account > Security > Restrict withdrawals. Remember that a newly added address takes 48 hours to start working, so this is not an instant fix.
The usual cause is that your internet provider has given you a different IP address. See Approving IP addresses for withdrawals.
"This address is on your list but is not active yet"
You have added the address, and it is still inside its 48 hour wait. The message tells you the date and time it starts working.
What to do. Wait, or withdraw from an address that is already active.
"Withdrawals are paused until ..."
You removed the last approved address from your list, which pauses all withdrawals for 48 hours.
What to do. Wait for the time shown. Nothing you do shortens it, including adding a new address, and support cannot shorten it without verifying your identity. If you did not remove the address yourself, change your password now and contact our support team.
While you are waiting, it is worth adding an address so that your protection is back in place when the pause ends. If your list is still empty then, withdrawals will be allowed from anywhere again.
"This would put you over your own 24 hour limit"
The withdrawal, added to what has already left in the previous 24 hours, is more than the cap you set. The message shows your limit, what you have used, and how much you can send right now.
What to do. Send the smaller amount, or wait for earlier withdrawals to fall outside the 24 hour window. You can lower your limit at any time and it applies immediately, but raising it takes 48 hours.
Remember that a withdrawal still in progress counts against the window until it completes or fails. See Setting a 24 hour withdrawal limit.
"We could not check your withdrawal settings"
A temporary fault meant Bitaroo could not read your restrictions. Rather than risk allowing a withdrawal your settings would have refused, it is declined.
What to do. Try again shortly. Nothing has left your account.
I am locked out and cannot fix it
This can happen: an address changes at the wrong moment, or a limit is set lower than intended and raising it waits 48 hours.
Contact our support team. Support can clear your withdrawal restrictions entirely, which removes both the approved address list and your limits. Because that removes the protection, we verify your identity first. Expect to be asked for it, and treat anyone who offers to lift these restrictions without checking as a fraud.
